Dear Oceans Eight Owners
As we go into January, I would like to
take a moment to review the work done by the 2011 Board of
directors. That Board, under the leadership of President Hedy Weiss,
was responsible for the new and updated elements in our building
which are listed below:
- Completed building restoration and painting.
- The indoor and outdoor pools were resurfaced and updated
with new tile.
- The Atrium glass over the indoor pool was replaced.
- Decorative improvements were made to the restroom close to
the social room.
- The south wall in the social room was painted with an accent
color.
- New patio umbrellas were purchased for the pool deck.
- New AC unit was installed in the Lobby.
- The Lobby was refreshed and updated with new lamps, sheers
and accessories. The east wall of the lobby was painted with an
accent color.
- Hand sanitizers were installed near the exercise room and
office.
- New frames for bulletins were installed in the elevators.
- A new flat screen TV was mounted in the exercise room.
- The landscaping was upgraded.
- Several social events were held:
- February 4 - Super Bowl Party
- July 4 - Fourth of July Party
- August 12 - Summer Fling with Ernie
- October 21 - Fall Fun Party with Five O’ Clock Charley
- November 19 - Holiday Gala
The 2011 Board of Directors: Hedy Weiss,
President; Trudy Shoemaker, Vice-President/Treasurer; Gary Boyce,
Secretary; Frank Youngbar, Director;
Steve Guardiano, Director.
A special thanks to Hedy and her team for
providing Oceans Eight owners with a condominium that can be enjoy
for years to come.
