| In the year of 2009 the Board of Directors
achieved many issues involving Oceans Eight.
1) The Wattage in all the walkways was reduced from 26 watts to
13 watts. (13 Lights on each floor times 19 floors).
2) The Wattage in the Elevator lobbies was reduced from 54 watts
to 13 Watts (four lights in each elevator lobby times 20 floors).
3) The wattage in the Main Lobby was reduced from 32 watts to 16
watts and some lights were omitted.
4) Installed Solar X on all first floor windows except the inside
pool area. Florida Power gave us a cost savings.
5) Installed a New fascia board on the elevator tower roof, that
one of the Hurricanes destroyed several years ago.
6) Our staff cleaned our trash chute, instead of paying a
contractor.
7) Painted I beams on the Roof that supports our cooling towers.
8) Replaced door to maintenance room on the roof.
9) Painted all unit doors leading to the walkways.
10) Repaired rust spots on the Sea Wall.
11) Painted all walls and decks on all floors.
12) Painted Main Lobby.
13) Installed a new counter top in the mail room. (Got rid of the
card table). Also, painted the mail room.
14) Maintenance Staff will maintain the Transmissions and motors
for air conditioning on the roof.
15) Repaired balcony ceilings on units 1803 and 1903.
16) Had the inside pool acid washed.
17) Installed Emseal in front of building from North to South.
18) Caulked the North Side of building from the East Wall to the
West Wall.
19) Installed new egg-ceilings in the Jacuzzi, Sauna, and the
inside Pool area.
20) Lowered water drains in the Loading Dock area.
21) Purchased a new 52-inch TV for the social room.
22) Replaced four intake fans in the garage.
23) Installed a water meter going to the towers on the roof, so
we did not pay for water that was evaporated when the fans were
turned on. We got a rebate on our water and sewer bill.
24) The Board had a reserve study made for Oceans Eight.
